The approach that was taken here was to add default values to the type
definitions rather than specify them whenever they are missing.
Now the only remaining warning is '-Wunused-parameter' which @jade said
is usually counterproductive and that we can just disable it:

So this change adds the flags '-Wall', '-Wextra' and
'-Wno-unused-parameter', so that all warnings are enabled except for
'-Wunused-parameter'.

Remove the mutable state stuff that assumes that one file is being
written a time. It's true that we don't write multiple files
interleaved, but that mutable state is evil.

- Rename the listener to not be called a "sink". If it were a "sink" it
would be eating bytes and conform with any of the Nix sink stuff
(maybe FileHandle should be a Sink itself! but that's a later CL's
problem). This is a parser listener.
- Move the RetrieveRegularNARSink thing into store-api.cc, which is its
only usage, and fix it to actually do what it is stated to do: crash
if its invariants are violated.
It's, of course, used to erm, unpack single-file NAR files, generated
via a horrible contraption of sources and sinks that looks like a
plumbing blueprint. Refactoring that is a future task.
- Add a description of the invariants of NARParseVisitor in preparation
of refactoring it.

These were needed back in the pre-C++11 era because we didn't have
move semantics. But now we do.
|

Extend `FSAccessor::readFile` to allow not checking that the path is a
valid one, and rewrite `readInvalidDerivation` using this extended
`readFile`.
Several places in the code use `readInvalidDerivation`, either because
they need to read a derivation that has been written in the store but
not registered yet, or more generally to prevent a deadlock because
`readDerivation` tries to lock the state, so can't be called from a
place where the lock is already held.
However, `readInvalidDerivation` implicitely assumes that the store is a
`LocalFSStore`, which isn't always the case.
The concrete motivation for this is that it's required for `nix copy
--from someBinaryCache` to work, which is tremendously useful for the
tests.

This will use a NAR listing in
/tmp/nars/b0w2hafndl09h64fhb86kw6bmhbmnpm1.ls containing all metadata,
including the offsets of regular files inside the NAR. Thus, we don't
need to read the entire NAR. (We do read the entire listing, but
that's generally pretty small. We could use a SQLite DB by borrowing
some more code from nixos-channel-scripts/file-cache.hh.)
This is primarily useful when Hydra is serving files from an S3 binary
cache, in particular when you have giant NARs. E.g. we had some 12 GiB
NARs, so accessing individuals files was pretty slow.

This avoids a possible stack overflow if directories are very deeply nested.
|

Previously, if a directory `foo` existed and a file `foo-` (where `-` is any character that is sorted before `/`), then `readDirectory` would return an empty list.
To fix this, we now use a tree where we can just access the children of the node, and do not need to rely on sorting behavior to list the contents of a directory.
